I have always envied those who have a love for exercise. I see them at the gym, practically smiling having the time of there lives while not so little me is grumbling and moaning the whole entire time. I'm not the most motivated exerciser to say the least. That was until recently when I discovered yoga. As some of you might have remembered reading in my previous posts, I recently started practicing yoga at the beginning of the year after finding videos on youtube. I had graduated from college and suddenly had a lot of free time on my hands. Being in Minnesota venturing outside isn't always the easiest task to do. So I decided to shake things up and try something at home instead, because why the heck not.

Since starting my practice in yoga I have noticed an immense change not only in my body but also for my mind. Compared to other exercises yoga is a focus and practice of both the mind of body--allowing for all parts to be challenged and awakened. It helps too that I'm forced to exercise for an hour with a group. Compared to your typical gym routine, yoga is not only an internal practice, but one that can be practiced with a group. By going in a group atmosphere I have allowed myself to be challenged on a whole new level. Call it peer pressure, conforming, or attempting to show off to the hot guy in the left corner- but working out in a group has given me a whole new perspective. By working out in a group atmosphere I have not only become a stronger person but someone who is able to feel comfortable in almost any group setting. Think about it, in yoga you are letting yourself completing go in front of complete strangers. That mat is your space, but surrounding you are others who are doing the same practice as you and that are ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead. Yes, I haven't done all the moves or postures right, and I'm sure that not most people can in fact while doing yoga, but we try.

As the summer months continue I hope to strengthen my yoga practice. I try to go every day- and am sad if my day is too busy to go to a class. The issue of being bored has been conquered by the every changing moves and classes that I have taken. Sure, there have been times were I have wanted to give up halfway through class. Sure, I have questioned my sanity of adding an extra workout onto my routine, but it makes me happy and keeps me motivated to stay active throughout the day. So call me a yoga-addict. I seem to can't live without it, and can't wait to see where my practice will take me in the following months.

    Until next time!

According to the University of Texas, the average size of a woman in the United States is a size 12-14. As a fashion blogger and someone who fits into this 'average size' category, it can sometimes be discouraging to write about fashion. The business is harsh. Where the average size for woman starts is considered a scarce place on the racks at clothing stores, leaving woman like myself out of clothing options. I'm not the only one that has this problem either. Over 50% of woman in the US are over the size of 14. Yet somehow the majority of retail stores only contain size 0-12, leaving woman like myself left with little to choose from and sometimes even downright depressed.

What can make matters worse is that there are very little options for woman like myself who are considered on the 'plus' size range at times to have people in the media to look up to. Think about it- when was the last time you saw on a magazine cover a model that wasn't a size 2? Now don't get me wrong- I am by no means trying to shame woman that are of a smaller size than me. I understand that everyone is born with different body types and sizes. I get that. So if there are just as many woman in the world (or more) who are over a size 2, why aren't they presented in the medias? I can think on my hand of the number of plus size models and actresses that have had love interest, been campaign models. or  even had a shed of light shown on them.

Model Ashley Graham featured in DNCE's latest video "Toothbrush" as Joe Jonas' love interest

I don't technically consider myself a plus size girl and I have one reason why - I am 100% ashamed of the notion of being so. I work out every day, eat a healthy diet, yet still somehow can barely fit into size 12 jeans. You see it is possible to be healthy and be a size 12, 14, or even 20. No, I am not a doctor by any means. But I do know that society does create a stigma of plus size woman being considered lazy and unhealthy, and this isn't always the case. Society has pretty much shamed  plus size woman since the beginning of the 21st century. What was at one time seen as the ideal body type has now become the opposite. I cringe when saying the word 'plus' and turn my head several times in fear that someone might notice me shopping in the plus size section.

Plus size model Whitney Thompson looks beautiful in a Versace gown:
Whitney Thompson of America's Next Top Model

Fortunately society is changing about the perspective of plus size woman. Finally in movies the plus size girl is having a plot in story lines. We are no longer just the funny girl or the bets friend. Finally models are showing up in all shapes and sizes on the runways and magazine covers allowing for all to be represented. So yes, maybe I'm still ashamed of being in the awkward middle section of being plus size- and well- the other side of the aisle. But with societies views changing day by day within the media my perspective and acceptance of my body and others is changing day by day. And I hope for others like myself they too will be able to appreciate and understand that this body revolution is an important and necessary step.

Almost every blogger I know has had difficulties writing and creating original content. There's a reasons why the phrase 'writers block' exists, and it happens quiet often for bloggers too. For myself, creating weekly or even daily content for the blog can sometimes be a struggle. Now I'm not trying to complain about having a blog by no means. Instead, I'm writing this post in hopes of helping other writers and creating a reminder as a blogger of what not to do as a blogger.

#1) Become Inspired. Check out the blogs that you look at daily and really ask yourself why you love coming back and looking at this blog. Is it because they post about local events happening in your area? Do you love their style? Does this writer have great advice or travel tips? Each writer is going to get inspiration from different places. For myself, I not only try and get inspiration from bloggers but also from magazines and what is happening around the world around me. Sure I'm not perfect yet about becoming super profound, but I'm slowly opening up to the world on my blog about certain aspects of my life to readers. Create something that you would be proud of and that is an accurate reflection about yourself. The biggest complement that I have received about my blog has been how closely it fits with my lifestyle.

#2) Don't post just to post. One of the great things about blogging compared to other forms of writing is that you don't have any deadlines. You are essentially your own boss. This means that you can create as much or as little content as your heart desires. That being said, you shouldn't sell yourself short though. Over creating posts that are only halfway done or that were created just 'to be created' shouldn't be on the blog. Again, this is a representation of yourself. You don't want people to get the wrong impression.

#3) You are a complex person. People change throughout time and with that taste levels and hobbies might change as well. It's natural- and you shouldn't be ashamed of it. One of the reasons why I called this blog a 'Fusion' was because I couldn't set myself down into one category of blogging. Yes, it can be nice to have one main focus on your blog but for some people this can be limiting for them. You have more than one passion- so show the world it and be proud! You never know where it might go.

#4) Don't embellish the truth. Be proud of who you are. Each person is at a different phase in their lives, and this will reflect in their blogs as well. It is important to be aware (especially in fashion blogs) that sometimes the truth is embellished when it comes to what people are wearing. Yes they look fabulous, but is that really the look that they are going to wear to go out and do their grocery's in? Probably not. There is this pressure in the fashion blogging world to have your pictures look JUST RIGHT as if you were coming right out of a magazine. Sure sometimes you might be lucky enough to snag a great photographer, but that doesn't always happen . Roll with the punches that you are given and as Tim Gun says 'make it work'!

#5) Have fun! Blogging shouldn't feel like a chore. It should be almost theraputic for you as a writer to journal out you daily life to the world. Do what makes you feel happy. If that means making your blog into a business or posts pictures of your cat that all power to you. The only thing that matters is your happiness.

    Until next time,

For some of you that might have been following my journey for a while, you might remember that I had a youtube channel. Naturally with school and life going on I wasn't able to make videos as often as I would have liked to. Fortunatley with school over, and life seeming to change in every direction every minute, I thought it might be advantageous to make videos once again. I haven't decided if I'll also be creating videos of me singing but for now you can expect weekly videos of me giving life updates. Let me know if you have an topics that you would like me to cover in my vlog series as well!

As always I thank you for your support and I hope you will continue to follow my journey and all my platforms. Until next time,

Everyone has a bucket list. For most people this list contain dreams of trying different foods, wacky activities such as skydiving, and traveling to different destinations. One of these places that I have on my bucket list, and I'm sure it is the case for many others, is going to Vegas. So when Vegas.com reached out to me about creating a day-to-night look based off of one of there hotels I was more than happy to take the challenge. If you've ever noticed in my travel and fashion posts you might notice that my outfits match the settings of the places I travel. This isn't a coincidence. When planning my trips I try and base my outfits not only off of the activities that I plan on doing, but also based off of the scenery around me. It's important to try and find outfits that you will not only feel comfortable in while traveling but that make you feel confident in too. This is the time to have fun, let loose, and explore new places and try new things. Having a wardrobe that is restricting or that makes you feel uncomfortable can definitely put a damper on the trip. Fortunately you have me to help though! Packing can be a difficult thing to do- especially if you're like me and still want to attempt to pack light. So get ready, get set, and let's go! Because we're about to go to VEGAS!!!

TAO Beach located in the Venetian Las Vegas

For my dream vacation in Las Vegas I would have to stay without a doubt in the luxurious Venetian hotel. It pretty much has everything I need in one hotel- a mall, several pools, casino, restaurants, and of course the infamous TAO nightclub. For a weekend get a way this is the perfect place to hang out all under one roof (and with style might I add). My first look is just about that- having fun but in relaxed manner (hence the bathing suit). This first pool side look is Vegas inspired because unlike at other pools, you can really show off the bling-bling here without looking ridiculous. I've paired in this look my Ralph Lauren bathing Suit with an Altelier necklace, cat eyed sun glasses, and a high-low skirt from BCBG. This look is great for when longing around at the pool or drying off and walking around the Italian inspired mall afterwards (hence the blue and white nautical look). Add a pair of heels and you'll be ready for anything in Vegas.

One of the many restaurants at the Venetian Resort

Many of the Venetian Resort has dim- almost gold esque lighting. Because of this (and the fact that the setting is Vegas after all) I created a fun going out look that is both fun for the night clubs (such as TAO) and the luxurious styled restaurants in Vegas. For this look I decided to wear a fun moving dress that also gives homage to the old Vegas. With my flapper inspired dress from Forever 21, gold cardigan from Free People, and vintage gold earrings I'm sure to have a glamorous and fun night in Vegas at the Venetian.

So now you are set for the whole weekend. Add a pair of shorts,  a camera, and some Red Bull for the plane ride home and you'll be sure to have a great time in Vegas. For more information on where to stay and what to do while in Vegas you can visit Vegas.com for tips and advice. I know that I will be heading to Vegas soon and hope you will consider it also (after all what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!). For deals on traveling to Vegas you can click here!

As you probably have noticed, I haven't been posting as much of my weekly series 'Let's try to cook'. Why? I'm simply too scared and don't have the time sometimes in my week to experiment and try new recipes. Cooking can be daunting. You never know if you're going to come out with a finished project. And even if you do come out with something you are unsure until that first bite if you did it correctly. Sometimes you're lucky enough to get the recipe right and have your concoction taste good.  Other times you find yourself, after hours have gone by and all of the ingredients have been used, that what you had envisioned in your head to that on your dinning room table are two different things.

Of course I tend to be the latter. As someone who is just learning how to cook trial and error can be frustrating. I'm told by my family members that this process never stops. You will master several recipe's after a while but you are always learning new techniques and tips along the way. I try my best to be optimistic when it comes to cooking.  Everything will turn out right if I follow what the directions say on this piece of paper. This, of course, doesn't happen all the time. Some times I have to resort to simply baking a pre-made pizza in my oven instead of trying to make the dough myself. The lack of cooking I do in the kitchen honestly makes me feel lazy. Add the fact that I'm a woman on top of it and for some I would be considered disappointing to the female sex for my lack of being able to whip up a pie at a drop of a hat.

Yes, I know that cooking will take time and patience. Yes, I know that being a woman does not give me an advantage at being a better cook than the opposite sex. And yes, I do have the want to make food on my own. What I'm trying to learn in this new and sometimes scary process of cooking is to take time. Just like when I'm baking a cake I need to breath. I need to let the cake bake and do it's thing. Staring at it endlessly until I see that that baking powder is doing its job correctly won't make the cake bake any faster. Instead I have to practice what most cooks have instilled within themselves since day one: patience. I need to remind myself that I am stepping outside of my comfort zone and that it will take time. I'm not Julia Child or even close to Julie who attempted to cook every meal and document it on her blog. I'm simply Sabrina; a girl from Minnesota who until last week was cooking eggs in the microwave instead of a pan. I'm trying to learn how to cook, and in the process I'm learning more and more about myself as a person.

So here's to another week of trial and errors. Of learning how to be patient with myself, the products that I am making, and knowing that one day I will master more recipes on my bucket list. So its time to put on the apron and get back in the kitchen, because this girl has some more learning to do!

    Until next time,

I have to admit that I've been an old school fan of Drake for a long time. As a Minnesotan, Canadian TV shows were something that were all too common for us. I mean come on- we are practically Canada after all! That meant that TV shows such as Degrassi were on the television screens at my house when I was a teenager. Of course one of those infamous actors was Drake himself. Over the years we have been able to see him grow from a tall lanky teenager into one of the most attractive men on earth. Ok say maybe he was chosen for this weeks fashion friday because of his good looks partially. With each song he creates becoming an instant hit, it's important for him to maintain a cool and suave demeanor as well. Here are just a few of my favorite Drake looks throughout the ages that do just that.

Want to dress like Kylie Jenner? For many, including myself, you probably answered 'yes' to this question. Now you have the opportunity to buy some of the fashion and beauty moguls outfits directly from her closet on Ebay. This isn't the first time that Jenner has featured items from her wardrobe on the site. Along with her sisters, Kylie's Ebay page featured items on sale with 10% of its proceeds going to Los Angeles Children Hospital. This means that you are not only buying something that looks hella cute, but also helping out a nonprofit institution the provides pediatric health care for more than 107,000 children a year. Awesome right? Many of these items on the website are designer items that aren't typically found on Ebay or at a discounted rate. Here are just a few of my favorite items that are featured in this auction. But don't wait too long! Kylie's auction ends on Sunday so bid on your items before its too late here. Happy shopping everyone!

For many of us that were alive during the 90s we would rather forget about some of the trends that we wore during this era. Form the butterfly hair clips to the tie dyed outfits I find myself cringing at photos of myself wearing trendy bold printed outfits. Of course there are some trends that I do miss. One of them is the choker. To say that it was my staple piece during a period of my life would be an understatement. I wore my choker necklace wherever I went for three years straight (when I mean straight this includes wearing it in the shower and to bed as well). I was addicted to the look. So of course when I saw that choker necklaces were becoming a trend once again I was ecstatic. Naturally I had some chokers  from back in the era to wear right away that I had been dying to wear once again. It would be wrong of me to say that I didn't look into buying a few of these necklaces though as well. Here is a guide to some of the best (in my opinion) chokers that you should get ASAP. After all, it feels nice to sometimes feel like a 90s kid again :)
