A staple of my wardrobe are blazers. For many of my girlfriends they seem very perplexed by the notion of wearing blazers. So I'm hear friends to help change your notion of blazers. Blazers aren't just for going to work and looking frigid. Blazers are there to help you look cool, collective, and even bad ass.

Here are a few ways that you can rock wearing a blazer from some of my favorite stars

    (1) Metallic Blazers

Love the look of blazers but don't know how to wear them out at night? Metallic Blazers are a great way to look bad ass. Pair with some leather boots, blank pants, and a graphic tee and you have yourself one great look!

Demi Lovato in a Saint Laurent Blazer

    (2) Boyfriend Blazer

A lot of people of people have the notion that blazers are uncomfortable then you clearly haven't worn boyfriend blazers before. Not only are the comfy, but they make wearing sweatpants somehow chic.
    Kendall Jenner- My point exactly

    (3) Matching Blazer and Shorts

Sometimes matching your bottoms and tops can actually be a good thing. This is a great transition look from winter to spring and honestly looks hella fabulous. If you're bold matching printed pants and blazer are a great option or if you're wanting to play the game a bit more mild you can try wearing matching solid colors.

    (4) Statement Blazers

Sometimes your blazer can be a statement piece. After all, they are great pieces that deserve to be showcased. With some black leggings and a black tank you a set to look fabulous without much effort.

It would be an understatement if I didn't say that I was mildly obsessed with Paris. When I learned in the Fall of 2014 that I would be moving to the city of lights for a semester the first thing that I did was look up the prices for season passes at Disneyland. Yes, I'm one of those people that are obsessed with the mouse, the princesses, and lots and lots of rides. Having had a annual pass for 2015 here are a few tips about going to Disneyland Paris so that you can have the best time while frolicking with Pirates and Star War Characters.

     (1) Annual Pass
       * If you are a student buying an annual pass is the best option for you. Typically a one day pass to both parks in 99 euros, while a pass for the ENTIRE YEAR as a student is only 100 dollars. That means friends that you are literally only using paying for one extra euro to visit the park virtually whenever you want.

One of the many perks: seeing Disney change throughout the seasons
    (2) The weekends aren't that bad
       * If you're like me and love to save money than the weekends might actually not be that bad. If you have a PassNavigo that means that the RER to Marne de la Valley is FREE friends. This is true for holidays as well, but double check on the back of your pass to see if you're allowed to enter the gates to the happiest place on earth before you venture 45 minutes away from the city. This means after one visit you are visiting the happiest place on earth virtually FOR FREE. That's a big deal mes amies. I recommend going on Fridays or Sundays if you don't want to go to a super crammed park on the
    weekend.
    Swing into Spring

    (3) Get the app
       * Disneyland Paris has a great app that shows what the wait times are for rides, park hours for the day, and even the menu for all the restaurants. This is helpful if you're like me and have the mindset to try and cram every single ride as much as possible. This will allow for you to prioritize what rides to go on first and which ones you should get fast passes for (yes this Disney Park has fast passes!).

    (4) You don't have to go super early in the morning
    * The first time I went to the park I had the mindset that it would be exactly like the American park. You come at the crack of dawn and stay till you get kicked out because the park closes down. Take your time getting to the park. Yes there are busy hours and seasons at the park, but generally compared to the American parks it's not super crammed and you can get the majority of rides done (at both parks) in about 4 hours.

    (5) Bring your own food
      * Though it might be tempting to try French food at the happiest place on earth don't be deceived. It's straight up all american crappy food. Though there are some ok options to eat at the park the majority (if you're on a budget) include fried food with a side of apple pie. I'll stick with a croissant and fruit thank you. Also if you're worried about having someone 'catch' you with food at the security check point that is not a problem mes amies! My typical 'go-to' bag to the park was my backpack with a water bottle, sandwich, and apple sauce.

It's a Small World seems more sentimental abroad

    (6) Wear your own Mikey Inspired wear
      * Fortunately since I had the intentions of going to Disney I brought my Disney wear along with me ( thanks H&M and Epcot Parks). If you think the price of Disney food is bad then you want to stay clear of stores. Wear your own Disney wear if you're a big fan like me and would feel like a fool if you didn't have some form of ear pattern on your t-shirt.

Are you going to the park in Paris soon? Let me know if you have any questions below!

    Until next time,

I admit, I've always been obsessed with make-up. I remember the first time I tried lipstick. I was far too young to even know how to put it on but loved the idea of having purple lips to go with my floral dress in Kindergarten. In junior high, I remember trying eye shadow for the first time and attempting to hide it from my father on the walk to the bus stop. Needless to say the dark green color was pretty obvious to my dad, regardless of my will power not to blink. Now, as a 22 year old I have sure had my ups and downs when it comes to make up. I have tried the canisters, the powders, and the liquid foundations. Up until a couple weeks ago I was at my wits ends with makeup. Maybe it just wasn't meant to be. Then - as if it was magic- my mother decided to have me test out Bareminerals while at the mall in January. To say that I was hesitant was an understatement. I had used Bareminerals when I was in Junior High, and didn't seem to have any fond memories of the brand and its products. An hour later and $100 out of my pocket I came home a new woman. The acne that was once on my face almost magically disappeared with a whip of a the makeup brush and my sass had someone re-emerged.
I'm just so happy with this kit you guys
I have to say, if it wasn't for my mother I wouldn't have gotten the kit. Priced at $79, I was hesitant that the product that the makeup artist had done at the mall would create the same effect by myself at home. I'm proud to say that I was wrong.  The Kit, which was personally crafted for myself included the following products:

      - 1 bareSkin Foundation SPF 20, Original Foundation SPF 15 (size: large),
      - Foundation SPF 20
      - 1 Concealer
      - 1 Face Brush
      - 1 Mini Prime Time Foundation Primer, 1 Mineral veil finishing powder, 1 Flawless Application Face Brush, and 1 Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush

Captured: me putting on concealer after the primer and foundation

In addition to these products, I also bought the Red Clay Mask and another primer that corrected the redness in my face. Though it might seem like there are a lot of products that need to be used every day, it's actually not that difficult and the effects are longer lasting than any other makeup I've had. Somehow Bareminerals has broken my notion that with makeup, I have to coat layer after layer to receive full coverage. I guess the saying "less is more' would be their motto statement, because even after a month it feels like I've barely used any product. For Bareminerals, almost every product only needs to have a pea-size amount. Of course my full coverage self was scared. I didn't want anyone to see my imperfections. How could a pea size of makeup foundation really be enough? Well, somehow it has proven to be more than enough, and now the motto of 'less is more' has become one of my mantras in life. Because after all- who doesn't love to stay flawless?

Me with the Flawless Application Brush with Foundation inside of it- there is a pea size whole that helps so that you don't overuse product!

There honestly isn't much though to complain about the kit. Yes, it is a tad expensive (being that right now I am tight no money) but I went in with the notion that I was going to be spending more money than usual on makeup. After all, I have literally tried about every different makeup brand from Sephora to Chanel when it comes to foundations, so my wallet has had fluctuating impact along with my face. It helps also that this makeup is combating my acne along with my medicine that I'm already taking. I'm all for killing two birds with one stone. So why not look flawless while doing it too? This kit truly allows you to experiment while allowing for a natural look. Along with the kit came bronzer for contouring (which I haven't mastered yet), but I'm excited for the possibility of having a tan face come spring time. My only feedback would be is that the kit should have blush included in the kit. After all, everyone loves to have some color on their face - so why not add some pink onto it as well? In all the kit had everything I pretty much wanted and more- it had the products that I was looking for that gave me full coverage, some new brushes, and even some fun extra things to play with. Oh and did I mention that mine came with a makeup bag?

Every so often you need to celebrate life. Whether that means sitting down and setting up time for yourself and eating some dark chocolate while watching Sex and the City, reading a book, or traveling. At the end of 2015 I had a lot to celebrate. I graduated early from college (with a double major and a certificate), had accomplished my dream of living in Paris, and had gained some valuable work experience as well with an internship in the summer and the fall.  It had become a tradition for my family and I to celebrate momentous occasions such as these as well as the holidays (which happen to fall in the same time frame) and go on a cruise. So the daunting question comes when thinking about celebrating these momentous occasions: what am I going to wear?

I'm one of those people that over plans things. So of course I had a set idea of what I was looking for when it came to celebrating my birthday on the cruise. I wanted something that was sophisticated, fun, and that sparkles. That doesn't sound too hard right? Boy was I wrong. If you know my personal style I am obsessed with wearing all black. After having lived in Paris a pop of color really isn't my thing- AT ALL .So finding something that was sparkly and black proved to be a challenge. Fortunately I live close to the largest mall in America. Like most of my purchases, I found this dress at the last second. I had another dress in my hand ready to purchase in line and then suddenly, as if it was fate, I saw out of the corner of my eye a sparkling beauty. It was a Alberto Makali dress in my size and even in my price range (well I made it- because a girl has got to look good when she's celebrating right?). With some new Nine West heels that I also got at Nordstrom Rack I perfected my sophisticated but fun look that had lots and lots of sparkle. It just goes to show you that sometimes it can truly be a match made in heaven when you find the right dress.

    Photo form Kendall + Kylie.com
I admit, I've always been a fan of the famous Jenner girls. I've watched them grow up on TV on Keeping up with the Kardashians, follow Kylie on Snapchat, and have even tried on a crop top from their Pac Sun collection in hopes of looking like them. But at last, it comes a time where you have to grow out of crop tops and trade them in for blazers and button up t-shirts. And Kendall and Kylie seem to be doing just that in their new collection. Starting this Spring, shoppers can buy the collection at featured stores such as Nordstrom, Saks, and Bloomingdales to name a few. But with more material  comes a larger price-tag.  According to the girls, the pieces will range from $70-300. Something  that will prove to be an investment for many of us fans that are in the midst of paying for college rather than a leather dress. What makes it more confusing for people like me that want to buy the entire collection is that each retailer will only have a portion of the collection to sell, rather than the entire. This means that you'll either have to do a lot of online shopping or hop from one department store to another to get your perfect Kendall + Kylie look.
The girls before they started having their own businesses
With both of the sisters growing up, the style and quality of the products have left both fans and critiques in awe of their creation. Not only have the girls created a line that is fashionable, but one that is also practical and read-to-wear for (gasp) young professionals. In case if you're like me and are budgeting how many pieces you can ACTUALLY afford from this coveted collection, here are a few pieces that might have rushing to the store and opening up your wallets. Happy shopping!
