Not traveling? No problem! : 5 things to write about if you're a travel blogger stuck at home
Wednesday, August 02, 2017
- Be a tourist in your own city (or the one next door)!: Go to the museum and see the latest exhibit or treat yourself to a night in a hotel. Visit a cheesy tourist shop and have someone in a funky outdated costume tell you why an obscure monument is important.
- Make your travel bucket-list: Being a travel blogger has its perks. Have you already walked down the streets of Tokyo or seen the Eiffel Tower glisten at night? Cross it off your list and create and new one! Share your rationale with your readers and make it happen.
- Have a favorite travel blogger? : Give them a shout out! Create a post about your favorite travel blogger(s) and explain to your readers why you should follow them and what helpful information they provide. Who knows, they might even give you inspiration for your next travel post!
- Throwback Thursday: One of my favorite things to do after traveling is reminiscing. Share your favorite pictures and tips from past trips with readers on a Thursday for a major throwback. This can include trips to the cabin or a snap with Mickey Mouse.
- Go out of your comfort zone: You might feel like you have to write about only your adventures on your travel blog and this isn't true! There's a lot of things that relate to travel including beauty, health, economics, and fashion. Do you have a favorite pair of shoes that you can't go without while traveling? Do you have a playlist when flying? Write something that your readers might not expect from you.
