Its time for a change: Grand Old Days

Monday, June 03, 2013

This was obviously a must on my summer bucket list. I've been going here/attending this event since I was born. It seriously should be considered to be a holiday here in the cities if it isn't one already. For those of you who might not know what Grand Old Days is here a quick summary of it. This annual event is held on one of the cities most well known blocks (Grand Avenue). Think of your average block party. Now multiply it by ten, add some vendors onto the street, face painting, concerts, raffles, restaurants, beer gardens,a petting zoo and street musicians. Depending on if you put enough sun block on for the day you can add a sun burn onto the list at the end as well. For me, I was unlucky (like always) to get a burn. It seriously pains me to walk at times because it feels like a layer of my skin is falling off. Ok I'm done with the gruesome details of my sun burn.I took pictures of the event yesterday but for some odd reason my camera was being funky. So please bare with me. Here are some pictures from the glorious world wide web of Grand Old Days! This event gives me a great time to hang out with my friends and get a bit silly. Being the college students that we are, and the fact that its summer, this was a great opportunity to re-connect with old friends and make some crazy fun memories to laugh at later. Hope you guys and gals had a great weekend that was safe yet fun :)
