Best Pie's in the Twin Cities

Monday, March 14, 2016

In honor of Pi day- here are some of my favorite places to get pies in the Twin Cities! Happy eating today everyone

#1) Keys Cafe- 8 locations around the Twin Cities

The local bakeries have an assortment of pies that are ready to compete with your Grandma's home-made pie. And honestly, they would probably win. With their fresh ingredients and moist crust you will probably forget about Grandma's pies and come here instead for not one, but two of their infamous slices.

#2) Cafe Latte: Grand Avenue

This place is the perfect location for an after-dinner snack. The tarts and pies are a great treat to split with a friend or for yourself and come in delicious fruity flavors that are both savory and make you feel not so guilty about splurging.

#3) Bakers Square- Multiple Locations

Though this is considered a chain store it would be kinda wrong (no maybe very wrong actually) to not add this unto the list of the best places to eat pie's in the Twin Cities. After all, Baker's Square is kinda the God of pies. It's their specialty; and they are willing to try any concoction necessary to make an awesome pie that you will truly remember forever.

Special Mention- Margaritaville Restaurant - opening soon at Mall of America

If you have ever been to the other locations of Margaritaville you too are impatiently awaiting like myself to get your hands on their infamous key lime pie. It's everything you've ever imagined in a key lime pie- tangy yet sweet. Add chocolate, and you've got yourself an awesome dessert that will leave you wanting another slice along with your giant Margarita getting an extra dose of sun (or in the case of the MOA location florescent lights) .

Until next time,
